HOW TO OVERCOME THE PROFESSIONAL DRIVER SHORTAGE? METHODS OF SUPPORTING SOCIALLY DISADVANTAGED GROUPS (NEETs, 50+, migrants) USING ICT-BASED TRAINING - 1st ICT-INEX conference

13 December 2018 | JAWORZNO, POLAND

On December 13, 2018, the first ICT-INEX conference “How to overcome the shortage of professional drivers? Support methods for training groups excluded on the labor market (NEET, 50+, immigrants) based on ICT tools” took place.

The conference was aimed not only at disseminating the project effects, but also at establishing a dialogue platform between the parties interested in the topics targeted by the project activities. The division into dedicated topic sessions allowed to present the issues addressed in the project. The event began with an indication of the reasons of these problems, followed by possible solutions. Thanks to the wide group of experts participating in the conference, the presented solutions to current challenges of the transport industry were based not only on the project outcomes, but also on the experience of the road transport industry, employers 'and employees' associations, driving centers and ICT tool developers.

The conference was held in PL and EN. The conference materials are available to download here.

VIRTUAL REALITY - AN ANSWER TO THE CHALLENGES IN PROFESSIONAL DRIVER TRAINING? - 2nd ICT-INEX conference

6th June 2019 | WARSAW, POLAND

The second conference entitled "Virtual reality as an answer to challenges in professional drivers education" took place on June 6, 2019 in Warsaw.

As part of the project, we have thoroughly analyzed the possibility of implementing virtual reality into the daily practice of training professional drivers, taking into account the educational, economic efficiency and attitude of trainees. As part of the conference, its results were shared. However, the event aimed not only to present the effects of the project, but also to create conditions for communication between parties interested in its subject. As a result, organizations that offer and use this technology in training in their centres have also appeared on it. By presenting the experience of companies and driving centres that use VR, we wanted to bring the public  closer to the practical side of its application. Participation in the conference of representatives of the ICT-INEX project, a wide group of specialists from many environments of the broadly understood training and transport industry, and representatives of companies creating the training VR allowed the creation of conditions for substantive discussion and contributed to greater awareness of the benefits of using this technology.

The conference was held in PL and EN. The conference materials are available to download here.
