According to the official Erasmus+ schedule, ICT-INEX project has officially launched on 1st September 2016.
The main aim of the project is to raise the accessibility and efficiency of professional driver training, using ICT tools and focusing on the needs of defavorised groups on job market, such as young unemployed (NEET), people over 50 and immigrants from outside of EU.
The analysis of their needs, barriers and possible solutions for these social groups will help in working out a consistent and inviting training model, aimed at the individuals who would like to become professional drivers. Such factors as the weak perception of professional driver occupation and the increasing deficit of worksforce in transport industry will be additionally taken into account in this matter.
Detailed analysis of using and integrating innovative training tools and methods, such as virtual and augmented reality, gamification and driving simulators of different classes will allow to prepare a set of legal & organizational recommendations for enshrining them in EU's professional driver training system.
Project Consortium consists of Motor Transport Institute (Poland, project leader) - a leading organization in , Grupa CARGO (Poland) - the largest Polish provider of professional driver training, TTS (Finland) - the largest Finnish research & training organization working in the field of driver training and 3s Laboratory (Austria) - the company specializing in the analysis of VET market research.
ICT-INEX is financed under Key Action 2 - Cooperation for innovation and exchange of good practices, Strategic Partnerships for vocational education and training. The project will last until 31st August 2019, for a total of 36 months.
